How does the depth of the water table affect the depth of root growth in Palo Verde trees? This project is important because in Arizona and other states in the US there aquifers are being over pumped causing the water table in those areas to fall. This project explores the idea of what happens when the water table falls to a certain depth where even plants can’t survive.
