Workforce shortages, facility closures, and long wait times widen healthcare access gaps, disproportionately affecting rural and marginalized groups. Many health chatbots remain rule-based, weakly multilingual, minimally personalized, and low in empathic communication. We developed CliniKiosk, a multilingual, customizable, retrieval-augmented (RAG) GPT-based health kiosk, and benchmarked accuracy, empathy, explainability, and evidence use against leading LLMs.
