Millions of people in the United States are deaf or blind and it impacts so many aspects of their life including their ability to know when there is an emergency. Many public warnings for emergencies are designed for people who can hear and see. Deaf or blind people could not know if there is an emergency until it is too late. This is why I wanted to design an alarm system for them to know if there is an emergency.
