My project is about testing three different rising agents — baking powder, egg whites, and yeast — to see which one makes muffins rise the highest. I chose this project because I love baking and I wanted to understand how ingredients make food grow and get fluffy. My results showed that baking powder made the best muffins but all of the rises were pretty similar. This project is important because it helps explain how chemical reactions, living organisms, and trapped air can create gas and change the texture of food.
