What is the impact of different toy categories on a child's ability to retain and recall information?

This project is going to measure how different toy categories of toys affect the memory of preschoolers when shown five different objects, two masculine, two feminine, and one neutral. Studies conducted in France about construction and deconstruction influenced this project. Construction is making new memories and implanting them in short term or long term memory. Deconstruction is forgetting your memories over time. This study analyzed the difference in how these are done in younger children. The results show stereotypes are harmful in young children when trying to form new memories. Learning about this study influenced the researcher about creating the methods for their study. The researcher will measure the objects they remember consistently. Gender stereotypes are very common in our communities and my research is studying at what age young kids start being affected by them. Toys will be the unit to measure what they remember and then compare the data to see if there is a correlation between gender and memory of specific toys. The study shows that there is no obvious correlation between stereotypes and memory retention.
