Great research. You can repeat the same for other plants whose fruits/seeds grow above ground.
What an interesting idea! As we move to growing plants in space, I wonder how they will react to the lack of gravity and if they will know which way is “up”? Your research is an solid starting point for many questions as humans attempt to live and grow food in new frontiers. Great work documenting your process and thinking through the variables.
You designed a very creative experiment to test how plants grow when they are upside down, and your setup with the mirror and cheesecloth shows great engineering thinking. Your data collection over six weeks and your comparison of both plant height and carrot growth show strong scientific effort. To make your project even stronger next time, try using a more transparent cover for the upside‑down pots so the light conditions are more equal, and label your graphs with clear numbers to help readers see the differences more easily. Overall, this is a thoughtful and impressive project, excellent work!
