My research project question was does the purity of water affect plant growth. I was testing over a 3 week span what type of water would affect the height of the bean plants the most. My hypothesis was that rain water would affect the plant the most because rain water has the most minerals compared to filtered water hose water and sink water. But My hypothesis was wrong the filtered water had the biggest effect on the hight of the plant. This is probably because filtered water still has minerals but, all the harmful thing s like led are filtered out.

  1. I like the way you communicated your results with graphs. The unexpected often leads to the best science. Keep sciencing!

  2. You did an excellent job testing how different materials filter dirty water, and your observations and data were clear and consistent across all three trials. Your explanation of why sand worked best shows strong scientific understanding and using glitter as a contaminant was a creative choice that made the results easy to see. To make your project even stronger next time, you could measure flow rate with a timer or try building multi‑layer filters like real water treatment systems. Overall, this is an impressive and well‑designed investigation. Great work!

  3. You explored an important question about how different types of water affect plant growth, and your results were clearly presented. Your graphs helped show how each plant responded, and your explanation of why some plants grew better than others show good scientific thinking. To make your project even stronger next time, try keeping all plants under the same light conditions and calculate the average height for each water type so your comparisons are easier to see. You might also measure growth more frequently to capture changes over time. Overall, this is a thoughtful and well‑designed project. Great work!
