My project is about grafting and what types of cacti graft better. I chose this project because I wanted to make a new fruit with a Peruvian apple cactus and a dragon fruit cactus. The result was that cacti 2,4, 6, and 7 did not work and cacti 1, 3, and 5 did work. I think these cacti worked because the vascular rings were the same size. This project is important because in the future, scientists can make new fruits and new species of cacti. This is so people can enjoy new fruits and flavors as well new species of plants.
