The purpose of this experiment was to investigate a potential method for reducing the accumulation of lead, cadmium, and plastic waste in landfills and natural environments. An eco-friendly, biodegradable stuffing material made from 100% cotton was evaluated to determine whether it decomposes more rapidly than conventional stuffing over an eighteen-day period. It was hypothesized that if a biodegradable stuffing composed entirely of cotton were used, then it would decompose significantly faster than the control stuffing, thereby reducing the persistence of harmful materials in the environment.

WOW, what an outstanding and creative project that demonstrates deep environmental awareness and strong scientific thinking. Your replicated trials, 20-day data collection, and the creation of an actual biodegradable stuffed animal prototype were impressive. Your interview with a wildlife biologist added real-world depth, and your data clearly supported your hypothesis. This is an exceptional, innovative investigation that combines science, sustainability, and personal passion. Nice work
