The Scrubby Hand Test

I created a glove that has a scrubber on it that can improve washing dishes. The reason why I made this project is because I hate touching the wet and soggy food in the sink when I do the dishes. I want everyone to wash dishes comfortably. Overall I found that the Clorox Premium Gloves with the Sponge Daddy scrubber was the best out of all of my different prototypes. It was the fastest at washing dishes and it stayed together well. Even though it was the best one, it was the hardest to put on, so I can find a way to improve that in future prototypes. I think that my project is important because i know around the world that people feel really uncomfortable doing the dishes and seeing that nasty and soggy food in the sink. Lots of mothers and fathers ask their kid to do the dishes and their kid says no so that means that the mom or dad has to do more hard work and so when they use my tool they aren't going to be worry about the time and how long it's going to take them. They know that they are going to be done fast because they have a tool to help then do the dishes fast and clean.

  1. Strong real-world problem and clear purpose (make dishwashing more comfortable).
Excellent testing: compared multiple glove/scrubber prototypes and used timing + charts to support your choice.
Next step, improve ease of putting the glove on and increase the number of trials to strengthen your results.

  2. This is such a smart, practical idea! You took something that genuinely annoys you like touching yucky food while doing dishes and turned it into a real engineering project. I love how you researched different materials, tested three combinations, and kept careful data on what worked and what didn’t. That’s exactly how real inventors improve their designs! The fingertip scrubbers were a clever touch for getting into corners. And the fact that you noticed the glue wasn’t holding well and knew to add more next time? That’s called learning by doing, and it’s the best kind of science. Great job! I bet a lot of people would love to use a Scrubby Hand!
