This project explores why dogs bark when nothing is around them. I noticed that my dogs barked and reacted to things that I didn't sense. I wondered if they were sensed things that I didn't. I set up speakers to test a dog's hearing range compared to a human's. I noticed that when other dogs barked they reacted more quickly than I did. I learned that dog's much better abilities and senses than humans do.

I can tell you are genuinely curious about why dogs sometimes seem to bark at nothing, that is a wonderful question that many dog owners wonder about! Your “I wonder” questions about what it would be like if humans had dog-like senses show creative thinking. You also did a great job observing your dogs and recording when they barked. Science begins with curiosity and observation, and you have taken those first important steps. Every scientist starts somewhere, and your curiosity about the world around you will take you far. Keep asking questions, keep observing, and keep learning!
Whaoo, such an eye opener
