My project investigates how thrust forces acting on an object, with different levels of force affecting the distance the object travels before friction brings it to a stop. I chose this topic to directly observe the change in momentum and energy based on the magnitude of the thrust force. My results show that a stronger force generates greater momentum, which requires a longer distance for friction to dissipate that energy and bring the object to a stop. This research is crucial because it demonstrates the fundamental laws of motion that engineers use to design everything.
