We are very interested and sports and the different shoes we wear during these sports. We thought what if we forgot our shoes at home when we had a game? What kind of socks would be best for us to wear if we were in a jam?

  1. This was a very relatable problem to solve! Your obstacle course was a creative way to measure the performance of different sock materials.

  2. Socks cannot replace running shoes and more so i think thin socks often help runners feel lighter and move faster while thick socks can add cushioning but may feel bulky or hot causing discomfort, so all these factores be considered.
Acknowledging a wrong hypothesis gives you the opportunity to carry out the experiment again and pay attention to where the errors may have originated from.
Most importantly you picked a great question that real athletes think about, tested different kinds of socks, paid attention to how they affected running, and used your results to understand what works best. That’s exactly how scientists learn and get better at observing things.
    Good job

  3. What a creative and active project! Testing socks on different terrains like grass and rocks was a very clever way to explore sports engineering, and your rankings for speed and comfort were very clear. good job!
