The Great Cookie Voyage

Physics and Astronomy

Grade:
1
Teacher:
Erika Campbell

Our class did a sink and float science experiment. We used cookies and milk so that it would be fun and relatable for first grade students. We discovered that three cookie brands sank in milk (Nutter Butter, Oreo, and Chips Ahoy) and one cookie brand remained floating (Nilla Wafer)! Our class learned that this was because of density and buoyancy.
