The Effects of Salt, Sugar, Soda, and Distilled Water on Ice Melting Speed

Four liquids. One block of ice. Only one will melt it the fastest. This experiment strives to successfully evaluate why ice melting speeds differ depending on the substance they are in. The hypothesis is that if salt lowers the freezing point more than sugar, soda, and distilled water, then ice with salt applied to it will melt the fastest.
