The Effect of Video Game Play on the Reaction Time of Middle School Students

The purpose of this study is to determine if reaction time is affected by video game play in middle school students. The study measured students’ reaction times before and after a session of playing fast-paced video games. Results showed that students who played the games demonstrated faster reaction times compared to their baseline measurements. These findings suggest that playing certain types of video games may improve cognitive processing speed and attention in middle school-aged children. The study highlights the potential impact of video game play on reaction time.
