The Effect of Temperature on Fingerprints.

How can temperature affect fingerprints? If I decrease the temperature of the glass then I should be able to see the finger print put on it. I will label the 6 drinking glasses with different temperatures, press my finger against the surface of the glass to create a fingerprint, then I will sprinkle cocoa powder on the surface, then lastly I will put cellophane tape on top of the fingerprint to collect it. The data analysis infer would be that at lower temperatures the visibility of the fingerprint was better. Though most fingerprints were seen better with a colder surface of the glass, with other temperatures the clarity was as well visible at times. There weren’t exactly any patterns but something I noticed would be that when I started with high temperatures instead of not seeing the fingerprint I was actually able to see it but then they became faint then showed again then faint again and lastly visible again. My hypothesis which was “If I decrease the temperature of the glass then I should be able to see the fingerprint put on it” did work.
