This study investigated the effect of classical, jazz, and pop music on students’ typing accuracy rates. Twenty students participated in the experiment and completed typing tasks while listening to each music genre under controlled conditions. The results showed that students achieved the highest typing accuracy while listening to classical music, followed by jazz, with pop music producing the lowest accuracy rates. These findings suggest that music with a steady tempo and minimal lyrical distraction may enhance focus and performance during academic tasks. Overall, this study highlights the influence of background music on cognitive performance and provides practical insights for students seeking to improve concentration and productivity.
