The complex system of YouTube is an elaborate structure of engagement through videos as well as the economics involved with it through the implementation of ads. However, this economic side of YouTube through the usage of ads is still widely in a state that is lacking clarity to the general public, and this is the same case for YouTube video engagement, specifically quantifiable video elements. Previous works on this topic of interest have failed to address the financial numbers of creators as well as the effect that YouTube quantifiable video elements could have on the performance of a YouTube video. In this experiment, I decided to introduce a method to get calculated CPMs for each creator of the experiment, 5 groups based on the type of content that the 5 selected creators of each group makes, the collection of views, likes, etc. across 125 video and 25 creators (5 videos per creator), etc. to help bring new completely data to the specific data that the experiment addresses. This experiment was progressed with the collection of the needed data from YouTube, the creation of the graphs, and the analysis of the data. With the new data coming from this experiment, the data can potentially help expand the general’s knowledge of how YouTube works, and this knowledge could be very useful in the underpayment/overpayment of YouTube creators as well as helping people in need to spread awareness of their situation through the optimization of video engagement.

This is a really interesting research question and given how much big platforms like YouTube don’t share their data, I think this kind of analysis has some important applications and implications for the general public. Well done on a unique and interesting project.
Very impressive! I really enjoyed reading about your project. Having failed to keep up with the complexities of CPM, DPM, and the many variables involved in video productio and display, I liked that you showed all the data you collected. A lot of work That the shorts got a lot of views and little money is dramatic. Your data shows many interesting details; you obviously invested time and thought in the topic. I hope you will carry on doing scientific investigations in the future.
