We came across something about soda in a book which made us think of this experiment. Surprisingly, the Pepsi was the fizziest, even though we thought it was going to be the Sprite or Mountain Dew because generally lemon-lime sodas are the fizziest. We ended up cutting the Mentos in half because they weren’t dissolving. We originally were going to measure the balloon’s width in mm, but we ended up measuring the height in inches.

  1. How you clearly measured the balloon height and even made a bar graph to compare the sodas was great. Explaining that your hypothesis was wrong and telling us what actually happened was good. It was also smart to notice that the balloon ripped and explain how that affected your results. That shows careful observation.
