This is a very creative and well-designed experiment! Investigating how oil mixes (or doesn’t mix) with different liquids shows strong scientific curiosity and a clear understanding of chemistry concepts. You asked an important question and tested it in a practical, hands-on way.
I especially like that you tested a variety of liquids — water, milk, apple juice, energy drink, soap, and soda. That allows you to compare results and see patterns instead of just making one observation.
Your experiment demonstrates an important scientific principle: “like dissolves like.” Oil is nonpolar (it does not have charged ends), while many of the liquids you tested, such as water, juice, and soda, are polar (they have slight positive and negative charges). Because of this difference, oil does not mix well with them—this is why it forms separate layers.
It was especially interesting to include soap in your experiment. Soap contains molecules that can interact with both oil and water. This explains why soap can help oil and water mix better—a process called emulsification. That is why we use soap to wash greasy dishes!
