We both love taking care of our skin, and thought about one of the crucial ways to do that. Using sunscreen! Not only does it preserve your skin’s cell barrier but also helps to reduce visible aging by up to 24%. So, we used one of the best ways to showcase the lasting effects of sunscreen on a surface that is similar to your skin. We wanted to portray which form of sunscreen woks best. Spray, stick, or cream. So we used Photo-sensitive paper! If you want to learn more then feel free to look through our presentation and research paper! 1. What is your project about? My project was about discovering which type of sunscreen would protect our skin from the sun best. Cream, Spray, or stick. My project is about the best form of sunscreen(spray, stick, or cream/lotion) to use to block out the sun’s harsh rays. 1. Why did you choose this project? I chose this project because improperly protecting your skin can result in skin cancer and sunburns, so we wanted to know the best way to stop these consequences from happening. I chose this project because protecting my skin is something that I prioritize as I am always outside, playing sports, running, or spending time with my friends and family. 1. What was your result/ overall conclusion? The cream sunscreen protected the photosensitive paper the best because it has the most coverage. The spray worked the worst because it’s hard to get good coverage and a lot of it blew away in the wind. My result was that cream sunscreen helps to protect skin the best because it has more coverage and applies thicker. 1. Why is your project important? (Remember to put keywords for search!) My project is important because a lot of people don’t know the best way to protect their skin, but my project can influence people’s opinions on which sunscreen they will apply to get the best coverage and better protection. My project was important because sun protection is a wildly overlooked subject, and most people discover that either after a long day in the sun with a 3rd degree sunburn, or after developing skin cancers like, basal cell carcinoma or even melanoma, later in life. My project can help to educate these people, giving them evidence to help themselves out, because we can all admit that a nasty sunburn is no fun.

  1. You selected a very relevant topic about protecting skin from the sun, which is important for health. Using photo-sensitive paper was a creative way to visually demonstrate how different types of sunscreen protect against sunlight. Your project clearly connects everyday choices, like which sunscreen to use, with science and skin safety. Great job exploring a topic that can help people make better decisions when spending time outdoors.

  2. This inspiring research offers practical insights for daily life, helping protect skin as a crucial barrier to germs, chemicals, injuries, and UV radiation. The results support more informed sunscreen choices. Science looks forward to your future experiments. Wishing you the best in your research and exploration.
