I noticed my dogs love to chew my families socks. This made me wonder if I could make sock flavored dog biscuits, so they can safely chew on a sock flavored treat!

  1. This made me laugh, great project! You used a good method and had a very creative idea.

  2. It’s terrible to see pets suffer and expensive too! You wondered how this could be avoided, and then asked a question that science could answer: Can I provide an attractive alternative which is not harmful? You also wondered, how could this experiment be improved?

Breakthrough scientific discoveries arise from a combination of these three: compassion, curiosity and determination. Your experiment shows all three of these characteristics. Humankind benefits from novel ideas like yours which are backed by scientific rigor. I encourage you to keep thinking of ways to help our pet companions and the world in general.
