Soap and Bacteria Growth

Human Health and Behavior

Grade:
8
Teacher:
Adelle McNiece

I first became interested in this project because it is interesting to know what ingredients in soaps work more efficiently, and how bacteria grows from not using soap and using soap. My hypothesis was if we use the antibacterial defense hand soap, then it will remove more bacteria than the other products because it kills 99.9% of bacteria and it has been dermatologist tested. After completing my research, I found out that the Antibacterial Defense Soap was in fact, not the better soap out of the six soaps we tested. The Dody’s Body Wipes averaged five covered squares which was the least amount of of bacteria.
