Our project tested the durability of eggshells when placed in highly acidic liquids with or without toothpaste as a barrier against the acid. Eggshells are similar to teeth with enamel, and this project can show young students how acidic drinks and foods can negatively affect their teeth over time. Our class thought that the eggs that were covered with Crest toothpaste would be more durable, less colored, and stronger when taken out of the acidic liquids than the eggs that did not have Crest toothpaste on them. Our hypothesis was correct. The eggs that were covered with Crest Toothpaste was lighter colored and a little bit stronger when you touched it compared to the eggs that were not covered in a toothpaste barrier and placed in the acidic liquids.

Great job documenting your experiment and the results. This was very easy to follow as well as interesting!!! Did anyone in the class start brushing their teeth more or drink less soda because of the experiment?????
Good job, guys! This is a very creative and educative project. It excites as much as it enlightens. Keep doing the amazing work that you all are doing.
Nice job! Great experiment, learning a life lesson on the importance of brushing your teeth!!
