Salt and radishes: How salinity affects development

This project is about radish growth and how the addition of salt in their water source can affect their development. I chose this project because after learning about how plants need to live in a slightly hypotonic environment, I wanted to know how much the plants could survive. The overall conclusion was that if too much salt was added to a plant's environment, it could lead to severely stunted growth and in some cases, death of the plant. Much of the Earth usable crop land will become too salty for plants to actually grow there, so this experiment is sort of a look into how much the plants can withstand before they die.
