My project is about making bike tires that have an added durability to them with the same attributes as the normal tires. I chose this project do to the fact that when I'm riding my bike, I always love to ride on dirt and other terrains, I always find a way to pop my tires. I wanted to make something to solve this problem. My overall conclusion was my project was a little faulty, but could still withhold small glass shards and sharp rocks. My project also had no drawbacks on the speed and sound. My project is important do to the fact that it withheld my tests and could make a normal tire stronger with less money than my family has to spend on me.

  1. You showed strong determination and creative problem-solving throughout your project! I was impressed by how you improved your second prototype based on what you learned from the first. Your use of criteria, scoring, and a bar graph demonstrates good engineering thinking. You clearly reflected on challenges and showed that learning from mistakes can lead to better designs. Keep experimenting, refining, and asking “how can I make this better?” that’s exactly what engineers do. Great effort!

  2. This project focused on improving bike tire durability while keeping the normal features of a regular tire. I appreciate that you chose a problem based on your personal experience and tried to create a solution. You explained your testing and results clearly, including what worked and what could be improved. Good effort and thoughtful work.

  3. This is such a cool, creative project! I love that you saw a problem, popped bike tires and just went for it, experimenting with rebar and saran wrap like a real inventor. The best part? Your first prototype didn’t work perfectly, but instead of giving up, you studied what went wrong (scratching, slowness) and came up with a brilliant fix. That’s exactly how innovation happens! Flattening the rebar and adding saran wrap was a clever solution, and the fact that you tested it with real glass and rocks makes it even better. You should be proud of yourself and next time you ride past a sharp rock, you’ll know your hard work paid off. Great job, keep inventing!

  4. Excellent work, i love how thorough the research is, your design and methodology are also thorough, welldone.
