Arches and pillars are two of the most well-known elements in today’s world, both having a fair share of logical and conceptual advantages over the other. However, a definitive answer regarding the safest counterpart has been lacking throughout the course of time. In this experiment, we aspire to solidify recommendations and hope to start a path capable of saving lives through the workings of engineering.

  1. Great and well thought project. I loved the fact that you modeled real life scenario to a great extent. Keep it up!

  2. It was really impressive to see how you designed and tested two different building interiors and carefully compared how they handled strong winds. I love how you connected your experiment to real storms and safety, and it is clear you put a lot of thought and teamwork into this project. Well done!

  3. I really liked how you built two different building designs and tested them with wind to see which one stayed standing longer. Your creative use of LEGOs and a hair dryer made the experiment fun and clear, and it was great to see how carefully you compared the arch and pillar designs.
