Ready, Set, Grow!

Plants and the Environment

The main idea for my science fair project is finding out what radish plant will grow the tallest if I give them all different amounts of water, and a LED sun lamp. My hypothesis was that the plant with the most amount of water would grow the tallest, but my results were that plant B, the plant with the second least amount of water grew the tallest, the fastest and looked the healthiest.

  1. I like the way you handled unexpected results when your seeds didn’t sprout and your cat ate your plants. Sometimes the best science happens when things don’t go as planned. Keep sciencing!

  2. You described the methods of the watering and your observations of growth very precisely which is a solid research practice. Who knew the cat would get involved in your project!!

  3. You did a great job exploring how different amounts of water affect radish growth, and your data table and graph show clear differences between the plants. Your bilingual presentation was especially impressive and shows a lot of effort. To make your project even stronger next time, try keeping all plants under the same light conditions and record your water amounts in a clearer chart so your comparisons are easier to see. You might also calculate the average height for each water group. Overall, this is a thoughtful and creative project, well done!
