This project is to find the optimum angle of launch to get the longest range on a bottle rocket. I chose this project after seeing a bottle rocket at camp and wondering how they fly. What I found is that approximately 40 degrees is the optimal angle to get the longest range. This is important because projectile motion can be applied to many everyday things like sports, landscaping, toy designs, and more. Keywords: projectile motion, bottle rocket, launch angle, range, trajectory, and drag

This project shows excellent scientific thinking and persistence. You asked a clear physics question and carefully tested how launch angle affects distance using a well-planned bottle rocket experiment. What impressed me most was how you identified problems during testing and improved your setup with a better angle-measuring tool and additional trials. That willingness to revise your method is exactly how real scientists and engineers work.
What stood out most was your ability to learn from experimental challenges and redesign your approach instead of stopping at the first results. That curiosity and persistence are strong indicators of future success in science and engineering.
