Research has shown that plastic poses a significant threat to plants. Specifically, studies indicate that plastics negatively impact germination and root growth. We wanted to conduct our own experiment to explore this issue further. While it is established that plastics affect plants, there is still a lack of understanding regarding the long-term effects. Scientists are uncertain about the consequences that plastics might have on large-scale crops over time.

  1. This was an interesting idea! You nicely controlled for each variable, and I liked your application of plastic. Overall, I think this could be an interesting project to continue working on in the future!
