Plants vs. PH does it matter?

Our project question is do things like vegetation and PH levels in lakes affect the different microbes that are in and around lakes and our Hypothesis was If water samples are taken from various lakes then studied under a microscope, then the lakes that have more vegetation and a higher pH level will have more microorganisms. We found out that yes, lakes that have vegetation surrounding them and a higher PH level indeed do have more microorganisms in them against lakes that have no vegetation and a lower PH level. We found this out by going to four different lakes and taking two different samples from each lake one sample by vegetation and one sample with no vegetation nearby, we then studied the samples under a microscope and graphed the data.

This project has an outstanding experimental design which compared vegetated vs. non-vegetated areas at the same lakes, with multiple lakes for replication. It successfully identified specific microbes (Hydracarina, amphipods, water fleas).
Your project shows good effort in collecting real samples from multiple lakes and observing them under a microscope. The photographs and descriptions of the microbes you found help show the work you did, and the graphs and data table make your results easier to understand.
