For this experiment I used melted butter and butter that was softened on the counter to see which made for a better cookie. I learned that how you mix the ingredients is as important as what those ingredients are. The majority of people liked the cookies made with softened butter because they were softer and fluffier than the ones made with melted butter. All the cookies were yummy, but the method made a difference.

  1. Excellent work on a very clear and well-organised investigation. I like how you compared different methods, included research, and collected data using a survey. Your results and conclusion were easy to follow and showed strong understanding of how methods affect baking outcomes. Great job connecting science to real-world cooking!

  2. What a delicious and clever experiment! 🍪 I love that you tested how the way butter is prepared can change the texture of cookies. This shows you’re thinking carefully about cause and effect in baking.

Noticing that softened butter made cookies softer and fluffier shows excellent observation skills, and it’s great that you also considered other people’s opinions to see which cookie was preferred. Your insight that how you mix ingredients matters as much as what ingredients you use is a really important scientific takeaway.

You turned a fun baking activity into a real experiment with meaningful results. Fantastic work!

  3. Great project!! I love how some cookies were heart shaped. I’ll definately try this method the next time I make cookies.
