This project examines the hardness of different minerals as it relates to the use of using minerals as toothpaste alternatives. As teeth and glass have the same hardness, I used glass as a substitute for my teeth. I scratched the glass with minerals of different hardness, from soft to hard, to see which minerals could work best as toothpaste in case I ever run out of toothpaste in an emergency.
