1. What is your project about? I test what types of music (sad music, happy music, no music and no lyric music) helps me do more question on ALEKS with different timers( 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 90 minutes) 1. Why did you choose this project? Music is one of my favorite things but I just put songs by my favorite artist, so I wanted to see if it actually affected my progress or if I was okay by just listening to what I already do 1. What was your result/ overall conclusion? Overall music with no lyrics is the best with 58 questions, and sad music being the worst with only 48 questions. Happy music got 54 questions beating no music by only one question 1. Why is your project important? I think this project is important because people should be aware that different types music will effective their mood and overall progress on ALEKS, like what happened to me, after this project I have made a new playlist that will help moving on faster on ALEKS.

Great job on a very practical and well-executed project! I was impressed by how you used high-level research from Pfizer and the CDC to build your foundation. Your experimental design with varied timers (30, 60, and 90 minutes) provided excellent quantitative data. I noticed in your conclusion that you identified a challenge where ALEKS knowledge checks reassigned topics you had already completed. Don’t be discouraged by this! Identifying these kinds of hurdles and being honest about how they might affect your data is the mark of a true researcher.
