My project is about studying the effort of down force and drag on a 3d printed F1 car, when adjusting its rear wing angle. I chose this project because I like racing, and I was interested to see how the changes in the rear wing actually affected a car's performance. My results showed that the rear wing at a 15 degree angle provided the best balance between drag and down force. My project is important because it not only shows the effects of rear wings on race cars, but also, how using rear wings can affect normal street cars, making them safer at higher speeds.
