My research question is does the amount of salt affect how many lights are lit in conductive playdough.My hypothesis is if I decrease the amount salt, then it will decrease the amount of lights lit. In my research, I found that the more salt you have in the playdough the more electricity flows.

  1. I was impressed that you noticed when something surprising happened, like the purple sample lighting more lights than expected. Scientists learn a lot from surprises. Mistakes are part of the learning process. Also, you did a great job explaining why salt helps electricity flow by talking about ions. That shows a strong understanding.

  2. This was an engaging and creative project that explored how salt affects electrical flow in playdough. The student clearly stated a strong scientific question and developed a hypothesis that was supported by the results. The experiment showed that increasing the amount of salt allowed more bulbs to light, while longer pieces of dough reduced the flow of electricity. The student demonstrated strong effort by creating multiple samples and testing them carefully
