We all make mistakes in school. The important part about a mistake is to view it as a chance to learn from it and try it again. At school, we use pencils to write with. When we make a mistake, it’s important to erase it well so it’s easy to read and looks nice. Our purpose for doing this project is to help students with the neverending problem of erasing on paper. We will test 2 common erasers found on the end of pencils, pink erasers and a newer eraser that some pencils brands are using, which is white. By erasing on paper with both erasers, we will see which one erases the best and doesn’t ruin our paper. We thought that using the newer, white erasers would leave fewer marks on the paper and work better for students. We found out that new isn’t always better. The standard pink eraser works just as good as the white one, but erasers easier and is more fun to use. Who would have thought that new isn’t always the best!

Fantastic project! Your team found out that people prefer the eraser that feels better to use, and the pink one was the top choice.
Wonderful job, scientists! I love how you tested something students use every single day and weren’t afraid to discover that your hypothesis wasn’t supported — that’s real science!
This project is well organized and the abstract is good. Great job!
