This project looks at the effectiveness of make-up removers on different types of make-up types (mascara, lipstick, foundation). To determine effectiveness of the remover data is collected on how much make-up is removed and how long it took to remove the make-up. It explore how solvents play an important role in how make-up removers work.

This is a very thorough and well-documented experiment! I was especially impressed by how organized your data collection was. The rubric for scoring on page 3 clearly shows how you created a fair system to evaluate removal effectiveness. Your labeled data tables (pages 4-8) demonstrate careful record-keeping across multiple trials for foundation, mascara, and lipstick. The before and after images (pages 11-46) provide strong visual evidence to support your results, which makes your conclusions more convincing. Using pig skin to simulate human skin was a thoughtful experimental choice, and testing multiple remover types (wipes, micellar water, cream cleanser, and oil cleanser) shows strong comparative design. I also appreciate that you repeated trials three times for each condition, which strengthens reliability.
This project demonstrates excellent attention to detail, consistency in methodology, and clear documentation. Keep building on this level of organization and scientific thinking you are developing strong laboratory research skills!
This is an outstanding project! I was impressed with how carefully you designed your experiment and controlled the amount of make-up applied to each skin sample. Your use of multiple make-up removers and different types of make-up made the experiment thorough and meaningful. That is a sophisticated way to handle data in a science fair project! Your lab journal was exceptionally well-documented, providing clear photographic evidence of your trials for every single sample. For your future research, consider testing how different application tools (like cotton balls vs. reusable cloths) might affect your results.
