Our class pet, Mikey, a Sulcata Tortoise, needs to be watched and followed whenever he's out of his enclosure. I came up with the idea to make a harness for him to wear that has a flag attached to it. This will prevent people from stepping on him and allow us to know where his location is at all times.
I love how honest you were about your process, and I agree: many times what we think at the beginning is not what we end up with at the end. But, well done continuing on with changes until you got a prototype that worked! I’d love to know if Mikey likes his harness or has figured out if his wearing it means he gets to go explore?! Did he move any differently with it on?
