1. What is your project about? My project is about creating a way to keep lizards safe while allowing them to enter and exit my yard. My goal was to use recycled materials to build a barrier that lizards could pass through without getting stuck. I also wanted my barrier to deter rodents but give lizards a safe entryway into my yard. 1. Why did you choose this project? I chose this project because lizards were getting stuck in the wire mesh on the bottom of our fence. We use the wire mesh to keep the rodents out, but it doesn’t allow safe travel into or out of our yard for the lizards. I wanted to figure out a way to save the lizards, but still keep the rodents out. 1. What was your result/ overall conclusion? My results of my project were that my prototypes allowed the lizards to safely pass in and out. I was able to have successful trials with lizards. Due to the cold weather, the rodents were not present, so I couldn’t test the criteria of the rodents not being able to get into my yard. My conclusion was that my prototype met all my criteria and constraints except for rodents not getting in because I was unable to collect any data with rodents. Overall my project was a success. 1. Why is your project important? My project is important because It helps our ecosystem and keeps lizards alive. Lizards main meals are bugs and lots of people hate bugs so if lizards die bugs will grow in population and nobody wants lots and lots of bugs.

I love lizards! Thank you for caring about them, too! Well done!
