In my project I tested how three different types of lawn insect killers negatively affect the growth of ryegrass. I chose this project because of the sheer amount of pesticide used annually, and to determine if it could be causing significant harm to rye grass. My overall result determined that the Sevin lawn insect killer had the greatest negative effect of the growth of ryegrass, which supported my conclusion. This project was important because it shows that using Sevin lawn insect killer will have a negative effect on the growth of ryegrass, and that it can be prevented by using a safer option.

You did a great job designing a project that connects plant science to real-world lawn care. I appreciated your clear comparison between treatments and your effort to measure plant response. In the future, strengthening environmental controls (like temperature and rainfall) would make your results more powerful
In reading the documents you had to sign, I was impressed with your understanding of precautions needed to protect yourself from the pesticides. This shows maturity on your part!
