This project explores an interesting connection between video games and heart rate, which many people may not think about when playing. I like that the experiment measured heart rate before and after gameplay, because that provides a clear way to see how the body reacts to fast paced games. The results showing an increase in heart rate help support the idea that exciting or stressful situations can trigger the body’s fight or flight response. It was also thoughtful to connect the findings to real life situations, such as how games might stimulate the body even without physical movement. One idea for future testing could be to compare calm games and intense action games to see how different styles affect heart rate.
