Growth Responses of Sunflowers to Aloe Vera–Enriched and Hydrogen Peroxide–Enriched Water

This study examined the growth responses of sunflower plants (Helianthus annuus) to three watering treatments: plain water, aloe vera–enriched water, and hydrogen peroxide–enriched water. Plants were grown under controlled conditions and measured regularly for height. Results revealed that sunflowers watered with plain water exhibited the greatest overall growth, outperforming both enriched treatments. Among the enhanced solutions, hydrogen peroxide–enriched water promoted better growth than aloe vera–enriched water, though neither surpassed the control group. These findings suggest that while additives are often believed to stimulate plant growth, natural water alone may provide optimal conditions for sunflower development, emphasizing the importance of testing assumptions through experimental investigation.
