Growing Beans In Mars Improving Mars Regolith by Adding Organic Manure for Bean Farming

We wanted to find out if beans can grow in Mars soil (regolith) and if adding manure would help them grow better. We planted mung bean seeds in cups with simulated Mars regolith and added different amounts of manure. We watered the plants and measured their height every day. We found that beans can grow in Mars regolith, but they grow slowly without nutrients. We also discovered that adding a medium amount of manure helped the beans grow the tallest and healthiest, while too much manure slowed their growth. This shows that adding the right amount of nutrients can help plants grow better on Mars and support future astronauts.
