Microfiber cleaning cloths are a popular alternative to paper towels. But they can shed microplastics into our water supply. I wanted to know if there was a non-plastic alternative that was as good or better at cleaning wet kitchen messes. I found that cotton terry washcloths did best at cleaning wet kitchen messes.

Thinking outside the box makes a good scientist. You will surely make one in the future,
I appreciate your attention to the environmental impact of these materials along with the investigation into absorbancy. Your very clear methods/procedures and results sections allowed me to easily understand the findings and implications. What a great example of research with immediate real world application. Keep up the investigations!
