The question of this experiment is: 'Which surface do you think will slow down a toy car the most?'ʼ For each phase of the experiment, a different material was used at the bottom of an 18-inch ramp: felt, a towel, aluminum foil, and bubble wrap. After each roll down the ramp, the distance the car traveled was measured. The car traveled 21 inches on foil, 18.5 inches on felt, 12.5 inches on a towel, and only 7 inches on bubble wrap. Looking at the data, we concluded that the bubble wrap generated the most friction with the tires, which is why it traveled east.

This experiment showed clear results. Your graphs were very easy to understand.
Wow! I loved learning about your project on how friction affects the speed of a car. My favorite part was reading about all the different materials you tested and seeing pictures of the process. You asked exciting questions and documented your work with attention to detail. You also did a great job explaining what happened and thinking about the next questions. Keep exploring, I can’t wait to see what you discover next!
