Floating Hearts: The bouyancy effect

After a basic sink or float lesson, students were futher excited to find other variables of sink and float. We tested candy hearts and different liquids to determine if a certain liquid helped the candy hearts float.
You used your skills of observation when you collected data on what you saw when you put the candy heart in the liquid. Being good observers is very important to a scientist!
What a “sweet” project and great expansion/ application of a simple lesson. Continue to explore and question:)
