The project is about the effects of varying potassium chloride concentrations on the voltage output and stability in an electrochemical cell. I chose this project because of its relation to the topic of microbial fuel cells. My overall conclusion was that differing amounts of potassium chloride does have any effect on the voltage output of an electrochemical cell. My project is important because the increased voltage of a cell through the improvement of a potassium salt bridge may prove to increase the efficiency of microbial fuel cells.
