My Project is to make a water filter. I determine which household items work best to remover physical impurities from the water. I chose this project because it can help people find cleaner water in an emergency. At the end of this experiment the results showed that the sock filtered the dirty water the best. This project is important because it can help people decide which household item to choose when needing to filter water in an emergency such as a natural disaster.

  1. What an interesting and practical project! You did a great of laying out your procedures and documenting your results. The photos really helped share the story of your work and along with your graphed data. I hope you keep going and try other items to see if you can get even better ppm than with the sock. But now I know what to use if I ever need an emergency water filter!

  2. This is an excellent idea. Thinking of ways to help people find cleaner water, especially in an emergency, you are thinking like a researcher and a problem solver.

  3. Great job choosing a real-life problem. I liked that you tested four different ways to filter water and used ppm to compare your results.
